Cairo is the capital city of Egypt and is the 13th largest city in the world with a population of over 18 million people. The best time to visit Cairo are between November and April.
Cairo is a mix of the old with the new city. A Trip to Cairo is incomplete without a visit to the Great Pyramids and also without experiencing the Islamic culture of the i.e the awe inspiring mosques and the old town. Other interesting things that one can do in Cairo is horse back riding in the desert, going sailing in a felucca and going on a jeep safari in the desert.

Itinerary
2 NIGHTS CAIRO/ 1 NIGHT ONBOARD TRAIN/ 4 NIGHTS NILE CRUISE (08DAYS/07NIGHTS)

Day 1:
Cairo (Arrival) Arrival at Cairo airport. After you clear customs and collect your luggage, our representative will meet you and assist with the transfer to your hotel. Check in and overnight at hotel in Cairo.

Day 2:
Cairo (Giza tour; Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum) After breakfast we drive to the Giza Plateau, home of Egypt's signature attractions: the Great Pyramids, proclaimed to be among the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. We visit the great Pyramids of Giza and their guardian Sphinx. Afternoon lunch at a local restaurant. Later Also, visit the Egyptian Museum - world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiquities accompanied by a certified Egyptologist. Overnight at Hotel in Cairo. Optional - After dinner on your own, return to Giza for a spectacular Sound & Light show. Nothing compares to seeing the Pyramids and the Sphinx illuminated at night; the visual effects as well as dramatic commentary make for an unforgettable evening.

Day 3:
Cairo After breakfast, day free at leisure. Explore this fascinating city own your own. In the evening, transfer to Cairo train station to board a luxury train to Luxor. Overnight on board. Train No. 86 Dep: 2110 HRS Arr: 0610 HRS

Day 4:
Luxor (Nile CruiseKarnak Temple, Luxor Temple) Breakfast on board of the train. Transfer from Luxor Station to Cruise. Visit the temples of East bank (Luxor & Karnak Temples). Dinner & overnight on board Nile Cruise.

Day 5: Luxor ( West Bank, Edfu, Cruise) After breakfast visit Luxor West Bank( Valley of the kings, Dier El Bahary of Hatchepsut & Memnon Colossis) , sail to Esna, cross Esna Lock, sail to Edfu. Overnight on board Cruise.

Day 6:
Aswan (Cruise) After breakfast visit Edfu Temple, sail to Kom-Ombo visit the Kom Ombo temple, sail to Aswan, overnight on Cruise in Aswan.

Day 7:
Aswan (Cruise) After Breakfast, visit Aswan( Philae temple, High-Dam and unfinished Obelisk), overnight on Cruise in Aswan.

Day 8:
Aswan (Departure) After Breakfast , Sail down the Nile on Feluka Boat (small sailing boat), diseambarkation. afternoon or evening transfer to Aswan airport for flight back home.

Time : Local time is GMT + 2 (GMT + 3 from last Friday in April to last Friday in August).

Language : Arabic is the official language. English and French are understood by most people involved in the tourism industry. Passport/Visa Note : Most nationalities require a visa, which can be obtained prior to arrival, or a 30 day visa can be issued at the airport if arriving by air.

Note : All tourists have to register with the local police within a week of their arrival. Most hotels will take care of this for you for a small fee. If you are travelling with a tour group it is likely you will not even be aware of this formality.

Luxor :
Luxor has a lot to offer the traveller, from vast temples, to ancient royal tombs, via spectacular desert and river scenery and a bustling modern life. The major source of the income of the city comes from the tourism industry. Temples of Karnak, believed to be largest surviving religious complex in the world, are located towards the north of Luxor.
Valley of the Kings is one of the most remarkable archaeological destinations in the world where the pharaohs were buried after their death in hope to meet the gods in their afterlife journey.

Aswan :
Aswan, lying on the eastern bank of the River Nile and is a major tourist attraction of the South of Egypt. Is the third largest city of Egypt and is one of the driest inhabited places in the world; as of early 2001, the last rain there was six years earlier. The Aswan Dam, Elephant Island, Philae Temple are a few of the places that are worth exploring. The High Dam is a known worldwide as an engineering marvel. Built in the1960s, it produces electricity and provides water for irrigation to entire Egypt together with the Aswan Dam, which is 6 km downstream.
